Taylor has been involved in the performing arts since she was young, starting with minor plays leading up to scholarships and lead roles in musicals. Acting and drama has always been close to her. Point Break drama also played a major role in her life as it encouraged her greatly and really boosted her confidence.
Taylor has been with Point Break since 2010. It was the platform that helped her achieve more than she could hope for. In 2011, she played a minor role in her schools musical of Wizard of Oz redux, and in the same year she had a major role in a bigger production in The Wizard Of Oz playing the Pink Lady Jan, and was the youngest lead character. Taylor had a lot of support from her colleagues and teachers of Point Break.
Earlier on Taylor applied for a Point Break Drama scholarship and came runner up with a monologue she prepared the night before. But live performances are just a part of her experience. In 2011, she was cast as an extra in Amy Meredith’s music video, “pick up your tricks”.
Also, she was a school girl in a government mining commercial that was a lot of fun. Then in 2012 an episode of Kitchen Whiz aired where her and 3 other friends competed against each other to win some prizes. Finally she has been cast as the lead female role in a voice over. She plays a stuck up snob with a cockney accent.
Taylor has been taking classes in the older age group for some time, despite her age. At just 12yrs of age, she is in the 14 yrs+ class.
“Point Break Drama has always been like a second home, a second family to me. It really gives me a chance to let loose and have fun as well as boost my confidence and learn some great skills that I’ll need later in my acting career. I’ll never forget the memories that kick started my acting life and the friends I made along the way. They really can help anyone whether their acting journey or really trying to achieve more in performing at a more advanced level. Point Break Drama is a big part of my life and I will never forget them.” Says Taylor.
Taylor’s performing is centered around acting, but other ambitions shine through. She also has a lot of experience in singing, dancing and music. In her school, Pittwater House, she achieved a scholarship for music, dance and sport. This encouraged her even more. Her main goal in life is to be known for performing, hopefully in acting but having singing and dancing involved too.
Taylor has learnt a lot from Point Break Drama and has been inspired by the excellence from her drama teachers. Over the years that she’s been there, she cannot wait to learn even more from Point Break.
