Point Break Drama Acting School’s 2019 Scholarship program for kids & Teens (6-16yrs), offers students the opportunity to learn acting technique from professional actors on the Northern Beaches of Sydney.

The Scholarship’s aim is to recognise an individual’s out-standing talent, giving them the capacity to continue training.

Details of the Scholarship

  • The Acting scholarship is open to Teens & kids (6-16yrs) only, and offers 3 lucky students ( 3 age groups) one full school year of part-time acting tuition free of charge in one chosen course at Point Break Drama. The 3 lucky 1st place recipients will also receive a further 15% off any other regular courses, acting and casting workshops at Point Break for the duration of 2026.
  • In addition to the first place scholarship recipients, there will be 3 runner ups offered (in each of the three age categories. Totals 9) 15% off to attend one regular term class for the entire duration of 2026.
  • The scholarships will be awarded to individuals who demonstrate outstanding talent in an audition situation.
  • Application / 1st round Submission Deadline is January 15th, 2026.
  • The first round of auditions will be to submit a 1 minute monologue  ( of your choosing) as a selftest along with application form and receipt of application fee payment by no made later than 15th January 2026 to info@pointbreakdrama.com.au. Files should be small files no bigger than 100MG. If  applicant receives a call-back they will be required the following Saturday 31st January, 2026 in person at 28 fisher Rd Dee Why.
  • Anybody in the applicable age range may apply. No experience necessary to audition.
  • Three full year scholarships will be offered in total. The first scholarship will be for the 6-9 age bracket. The second scholarship will be for the 10-13 age bracket and the third scholarship for the 14-16 age bracket.
  • An acting scholarship at Point Break Drama entitles the lucky recipient to take four full terms  ( Point break terms are 9 weeks in duration) of either one of the following ( not all courses will run each term) categories: Teen stage acting, Teen screen acting, child stage, child screen, childs play drama or child acting in 2026 only.
  • Successful First place candidates can choose from one of the following (Note class times subject to change) – Teen acting runs on three separate afternoons on Wednesday, Thursday 4-6pm & Friday afternoons from 5.30pm – 7.30pm. Teen screen acting Tuesday afternoons from 4.00pm – 6pm. Child acting runs on Wed  afternoons only from 4pm-5.30pm. Child Screen Acting run on Monday afternoons from 4.00pm to 5.30pm. Child play drama ( 5-6 yr olds) runs on Fridays 4.30pm- 5.30pm..
  • Successful First Place applicants will choose one day / one class only under the scholarship. Successful first place applicants will also receive 15% off any other courses & workshops (applicable for the students age) held at Point Break for the duration of 2026.
  • Scholarships will be adjudicated by an independent judge who has industry experience.
