The Online Shakespeare Basics Workshop (12 -17yrs) this Spring holidays is a an informative –  fun – and inspiring take on understanding / preparing Shakespearean text including Sonnets, Monologues and soliloquies for auditions & performance.

Demystify the language, poetry and imagery of Shakespeare. Learn to have fun exploring the voice and words. Find a new appreciation of Shakespeare and more!

Be inspired this school holidays to greater heights!. Not only is Shakespeare an integral part of any actor’s development its also for non -actors too. Those that have an enthusiasm for literature & Text.

Shakespeare Basics Holiday Workshop will cover:

• Understanding text
• Difference between Prose & Verse
• Placing Thought into the text
• Explore / Understand Shakespearean devices including alliteration, Metaphor, Allusion & Antithesis
• Using pauses. Knowing when/not to pause.
• Present Sonnet with greater vocal expression and clarity
• Fun and spontaneous class with all participants engaged in the process.
• 3 x 1 hour classes over three consecutive days at 12.30pm each Day
• Dates are 22nd, 23rd & 24th September
• Scripts provided by email – Please print
• Maximum 12
• Participants will need zoom Basic to access online

Paul has appeared as an actor in multiple productions of Shakespeare and directed and co – directed 12 Shakespearean productions including Macbeth, Hamlet, A Midsummer Nights Dream, As you Like it, Romeo & Juliet, Much Ado About Nothing and many more!  Learn from the best these school holidays!
