Monologue Prep takes place over two Saturdays on the 17th & 24th February

Tutor & Point Break Drama resident director, Blair Cutting aims to demystify the often-daunting subject of Shakespeare on the stage, by covering sonnets, monologues & soliloquies from over a comprehensive 2 day masterclass.
The bard is an integral part of any actor’s development , and all actors will have to handle the rigour’s of Shakespeare at some stage.
For any performer wanting to learn and / or prepare for a performance,Theatre auditions, or enter WAAPA, NIDA and other institutions Shakespeare Monologues are mandatory.

Born in New Zealand, Blair received his Bachelor of Arts from La Trobe University in 1989 and went on to graduate from NIDA (Bachelor of Dramatic Arts) in 1993.
Blair has appeared in over 80 stage productions, as well as numerous television appearances. Blair was also principal Shakespeare tutor for RE:ACTOR Acting Services for over five years.
A small selection of Blair’s credits include A Midsummer Nights Dream, Cosi, Wind in the Willows for RAW- Em Theatre, Julius Caesar & As You Like It for Fly on the wall/Ricochet productions, The Tempest, Taming of the Shrew, Macbeth,Othello for Gartre Theatre and for television Blair has appeared on Home & Away, Police Rescue and Double the Fist!
For Point Break Drama he has directed, Romeo & Juliet ( 2013 & 2016), As You Like It, A Midsummer Nights Dream , Hamlet & Much Ado About Nothing. In 2017 Point Break produced Macbeth & The Tempest which Blair also directed.
Blair has performed, directed and taught Shakespeare for over twenty-five years.
