Chelsea Bennett is a gifted young performer at Point Break Drama ,who has worked consistently in the industry for a number of years. What’s amazing is she’s only 12 years of age. Chelsea started acting 6 years ago and instantly fell in love with it , after doing an ad for Canon. She got herself an agent, Starfish Kids and started classes at Point Break Drama acting School on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
Chelsea has enjoyed so many great acting experiences with over 5 short films, and number of tv commercials under her belt. One of the most exciting jobs Chelsea did in 2010 was appearing on Nickelodeons Camp Orange, 5 days filming and lots of fun and slime! She also got to be part of the Kids Choice Awards at the Entertainment Centre as we won best reality show.
Chelsea aspires to be the next Dakota Fanning, ” When I learn lines for Point Break Drama performances and castings pieces, I usually do a bit each day as you can learn it better. Closer to a casting, I do alot of work on the character. You have to take it seriously if you want to keep improving, and I want to eventually do feature films like Dakota Fanning.”
Chelsea continues,” When working on a TV commercial, or film set, you have to be professional, disciplined and responsible, because many people are involved, and you have to be prepared, and not let anyone down. This has been good for me to understand being young as I am still only 12.”
Acting has been great for Chelsea’s confidence at school too, and Chelsea has gained so much knowledge and training at Point Break Drama Acting School. “Point Break drama has helped me so much the past 5 years and I will continue on enjoying it, I want to see my dreams come to pass. I have learn’t to enjoy the whole thing of acting whether it is preparing, auditioning, or when I get a job. That way you never get disappointed and can always have a good attitude, because many times you may not get an audition but it is important to always do your best. It’s nice when you get paid though!”
Chelsea credits her Dad in helping and encouraging her to pursue her dreams. Chelsea dedication and professionalism are inspiring for all. All the best for an awesome 2011 Chelsea!
